Recognize a Staff Member

DAISY Award - Nurse

If you'd like to recognize a nurse at Penn State Health Hampden Medical Center who made a difference in your care or that of someone you know, please complete the DAISY Award nomination form and share your story.

The DAISY (Diseases Attacking the Immune System) Award is an international recognition program started in memory of J. Patrick Barnes. Pat’s family experienced firsthand the difference his nurses made in his care through clinical excellence and outstanding, compassionate care. The family created The DAISY Award to express gratitude to nurses and to enable other patients, families, and staff to thank and honor their special nurses.

Please visit DAISYFoundation.org to learn more about Pat's story and how The DAISY Award recognizes extraordinary nurses.

BEE Award - Staff Members

If you'd like to recognize a staff member at Penn State Health Hampden Medical Center who made a difference in your care or that of someone you know, please complete the BEE (Be Extraordinary Every Day) Award nomination form and share your story.

Just as the daisy cannot survive without the bee, nurses cannot survive without the support and outstanding teamwork of other colleagues. The BEE Award was created to recognize deserving caregivers (other than a nurse) who provide extraordinary care to patients, visitors and each other.

Patients, visitors, nurses, physicians and employees can nominate a caregiver for this award.
